Empowering the Next Generation: DHEDF Awards Scholarships to 12 Deserving Students

Education is one of the most powerful tools for sustainable development. At Darinatus Health Education & Development Foundation (DHEDF), we are committed to ensuring that talented children from disadvantaged backgrounds are not denied quality education due to financial constraints.

In April 2026, we proudly awarded scholarships to 12 outstanding students across secondary and tertiary institutions. These scholarships cover school fees, textbooks, uniforms, and basic learning materials for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Meet Some of Our Beneficiaries

  • Blessing Peter (16 years) – An exceptional student who lost her father and was at risk of dropping out of school. She dreams of becoming a medical doctor.
  • Tari Preye (19 years) – A bright young man studying Public Health at Niger Delta University. He is the first in his family to attend university.

These students were carefully selected based on academic performance, financial need, and demonstrated commitment to community development.

Our Education Goal

Through our education program, DHEDF aims to:

  • Reduce school dropout rates in underserved communities
  • Support students pursuing careers in health, education, and social development
  • Promote equal access to quality education for boys and girls

We believe that investing in these young minds today will produce tomorrow’s leaders, healthcare professionals, and change-makers.

Looking Ahead

We plan to increase the number of scholarship beneficiaries to 30 students by the end of 2027. This is only possible with the generous support of individuals and corporate partners who share our vision.

I appreciate the focus on helping regional banks specifically. Often, the advice out there is geared towards larger institutions and doesn’t address the specific constraints and opportunities that regional banks face. I think exploring strategies like M&A to achieve operational scale and offset regulatory compliance costs is critical for these banks.
