Darinatus Health Education & Development Foundation (DHEDF) is non-profit organization committed to improving the health, education, and overall development of individuals and communities, especially vulnerable populations.
The foundation was conceived in March 2020, commenced activities in March 2023, and was officially registered in April 2026. The organization welcomes collaboration with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, donors, and development partners who share similar interests in community development and social impact.
Darinatus Health Education & Development Foundation (DHEDF) is built on the core value of honesty and transparency in contributing to improve health, educational access, and social outcomes in underserved communities. DHEDF currently operates in Bayelsa State, with plans for expansion across Nigeria
OUR FOUNDER’S STORY
Darinatus Health Education & Development Foundation (DHEDF) was founded from a deep passion for improving the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved populations through healthcare, education, research, and humanitarian support.
The idea for the foundation was conceived in March 2020 in response to the growing health, educational, and social challenges faced by many communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas of Nigeria. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable interventions, the founder envisioned an organization that would not only provide immediate support but also empower individuals and communities through knowledge, capacity building, and equitable access to opportunities.
Following years of planning, community engagement, and grassroots activities, DHEDF formally commenced operations in March 2023 and was officially registered in April 2026.
Today, the foundation continues to work with partners, institutions, volunteers, and community stakeholders to create lasting social impact and contribute to healthier, educated, and empowered communities.

We aim to enhance access to healthcare, education, and humanitarian support for underserved populations, regardless of age, gender, religion, or social status. Our specific objectives are:
